Decorating the wedding cake

In the wedding ceremony everyone feels delighted to have a look at your wedding cake. The cake holds the attention if it has been decorated with the unique decorating concepts or might be bereaved of wows if it is not containing anything special than just beads and creams. Adding too many details over the cake sometimes makes it overcrowded and when you see it for the first time you just get confused as what items has to be removed from the topping, whilst adding too less details may make your cake clumsy and bad. Your guests might expect something different what’s already sold at the baker’s. There are plenty of good ideas on decorating the wedding cake such as:

Adding beads made of whipped icing and decorating them with tiny pieces of jewelries

Making junctions with beautiful ribbons and putting a beautiful medallion of either gold or silver color at the junction

Getting a topper designed and placing in on the top tier of the cake

Using edible leaves to be placed within cake decoration

Sparking icing sugar of different colors in the base of each tiers

Making rows of candies onto the edges of the cake if it is square

Spreading delicate flowers of bright color on the white cream

Adding seasonal fruits and tastes to the cake

Pouring in nuts and peanuts

Making animated or ball shaped chocolates figures

Decorating with stars and musical notes or with any bookmark on which the wedding is based or revolves around.

It has become trend to incorporate and serve muffin cakes at the wedding parties and late night functions. I don’t like this approach, because nothing seems to be knocking down the wedding cake no matter what. If you want to save money on the wedding you should cut down extra accessories and invest that money in the wedding essentials such as cake and toasting flutes. Serving wedding cake is an old tradition which should continue to be served to keep the tradition alive. Buying or personalizing a wedding cake isn’t more costly than doing the decoration. The cake isn’t costly but its decorative materials are. You may keep the selection limited to make the cake simple such as buy only cake toppers and get it designed from the baker. This will save you money. Adding ingredients like icing sugars, chocolates, nuts, and fruits won’t add on anything because in almost all cakes they are used. You may opt for three tiered cakes instead of six or more. Keep the cake’s height confined to few tiers to save the money, increase the width instead of length because your cake will be served to all guests for it has to be spacious.
