Christmas is one of the most special
and wonderful holidays, but what do you do with all your leftover decorations
when the holiday is over? One unique idea is to use your leftover Christmas ribbons to seal your wedding gifts.
Christmas Ribbons and Bows |
1. The
first thing that you have to do is cut your ribbon to fit the size of your
wedding gift. Make use of any kind of ribbon and choose the appropriate
thickness for it. One inch is usually best and the wired ribbons are the
simplest to work with.
2. Next,
create loops over your thumb in order to create the bow’s center. If you are
using thin Christmas ribbons and bows, use a decent amount of ribbon or it will
be flimsy.
3. Then,
tightly pinch the ribbon and curl it in a counter clockwise manner in between
your thumb and fingers. Make sure to keep the right side facing out.
4. Then,
start it up and work it down. Create the loops for the ribbon with a similar
size and return to the center every time.
5. Next,
you should slightly twist and pinch every loop directly under its original
middle loop, while holding the stack with your thumb. Ensure that there is an
outline on the ribbon that faces out.
6. Just
a reminder that the ribbon’s tail should always come out the other part with every
loop that you make.
7. Continue making the
loops until you get the size of bow that you want. Twist some piece of wire
around the bow’s center and wind it around a few times. Leave enough room to
attach the Christmas ribbons and bows to the gift box or basket.
8. Finally,
pull, curl and fluff the bow and you have it exactly how you want it.
Making your own ribbons and bows is
truly a rewarding thing, not only for you, but for the receiver as well.
